Bolo de agrião/ Watercress cake!!!

Ingredientes:
1 molho de agriões/ a bunch of watercress
3/4 copo de óleo/ 3/4 cup of oil
5 ovos/ 5 eggs
2 copos de açúcar/ 2 cups of sugar
2 copos de farinha/ 2 cups of flour
1 colher sobremesa de fermento em pó/ dessert's spoon of baking powder

Preparação:
Bate-se os agriões com as gemas e o óleo com a varinha ou liquidificador. Adiciona-se o açúcar e depois a farinha com o fermento em pó. Mistura-se muito bem com a batedeira. Bate-se as claras em castelo e adicionam-se ao preparado anterior. Vai ao forno numa forma sem buraco.

Mix together the watercress along with 5 egg yolks and also the oil in a blender. Then, add the sugar and the flour with the baking powder with an electric mixer.
After that, mix well the white parts of the 5 eggs and add it to the other mixture. Put it in a medium form( pan) without a hole and it goes to medium oven until it´s cooked.

Olá pessoal! Não parece de todo Outono novamente!!! Está mais calor do que em muitos dias de Verão!!! O que se passa? Anda tudo de pernas para o ar! Ainda assim, o pessoal estrangeiro que veio de propósito para o Enduro parece estar a divertir-se à brava e rendeu-se aos encantos da Figueira e desta praia fantástica! Ainda bem para eles!
Num dos meus passeios, apanhei estes condutores completamente encasacados e pensei para comigo: mas serei só eu a sentir calor? Que coisa mais estranha! Vim a saber que faziam parte de um grupo estrangeiro que faz questão de se vestir a rigor nesta estação que devia ser mais fria...

Olá a todos! Já vos cheira a Outono???? Parece-me que sim! O céu já nublado, o mar calmo, pouco trânsito!... É o que a Figueira tem de bom depois dos meses gritantes de Verão! Hoje de manhã, depois de levar o meu filho à escola, decidi dar uma voltinha para espreitar o mar! Já vos disse que morei durante 14 anos em frente ao mar? Mesmo, mesmo, mesmo em frente? Pois é, agora não passo sem ele!... É um pequeno vício que guardo comigo! Adoro a natureza de qualquer forma, mas estabeleci desde muito pequena uma relação muito forte com o mar. :) Como ía dizendo... o mar estava muito tranquilo hoje e com muitos limos na costa. Mas o que me chamou à atenção foram as gaivotas à beira-mar. O meu avô, que era peacador, dizia que gaivotas à beira-mar era sinal de temporal. Por isso, vamos ver no que dá nos próximos dias... mas também já sabe bem um bocadinho mais de frio! É o que a natureza tem de boa é que está sempre a mudar, tal como nós... Deixo-vos com algumas fotos que tirei também da marina, espero que gostem! Beijinhos e bom fim-de-semana!

Hello everybody! Doesn´t it smell like Autumn already???? It seems so! A cloudy sky, calm sea, less traffic!... It´s what Figueira has the best after a very busy and noisy Summer! Today in the morning, after taking my son to school, I decided to take a walk at the beach just to watch the sea for a while. Did I ever tell you that I lived just in front of the sea for 14 years? Oh yes, just right in front of it! Now I can´t live without it. It´s a secret I keep with me! I love nature (any kind, but especially the sea). As I was saying... The sea was calm today but with a lot of sea-weeds by the cost. What kept my attention was the sea-gulls. My 97 years old grand-father was a fisherman all his life and he used to say that when sea-gulls were by the sea, it meant that it was going to rain or so. Let see what happens in the next days... I like rain anyways, sometimes, and a little cold! It´s what nature has: always changing, just like us... Well, I took a few pictures that you can see below, I hope you like it! Olá a todos! Mas que fim-de-semana bom!!! O tempo estava ameno, tão calmo e quentinho, parecia já ameaçar esta chuvinha que também já sabe bem! É tempo de recolher, de estar em casa e de nos gozarmos do nosso canto ao quentinho, mesmo que seja só por um bocadinho (e já anoitece cedo!). Ontem à noite decidi fazer um bolo! Como estava sem muito tempo, escolhi a receita mais fácil: bolo de iogurte! Depois lembrei-me da minha amiga Susana (que está a fazer o mestrado comigo)dizer que acrescentou chocolate no último que ela fez e resolvi experimentar, fazendo o de mármore!

Hello everyone! What a nice and long weekend!!! The weather was so calm and warm, it looked it was going to rain, which is quite fine already! It´s time to stay home, enjoying our favourite warm and cozy corner, even if it´s for just a while (and it´s getting darker sooner!). Last night I decided to bake a cake! But because I was running over time, I picked up the easiest recipe: Yougurt cake. Then, I remembered my friend Susana ( she´s in my masters class)saying that last time she added a little bit of chocolat and I decided to give it a try!

Limpei toda a confusão e depois fui para o sofá ver televisão com o meu filho!
Then, I cleaned all the mess and I went to the sofa watch TV with my son!

E eis que ela brotou de vez contra as vidraças logo de manhã!!! :)
And it showed up at a time agains my windows this morning!!! :)

Gosto das mudanças de tempo, mas ando cheia de dores de cabeça. Mesmo assim o meu marido quis tirar-me uma foto, dizendo que estou sempre bonita (com ou sem dores). Há lá coisa mais reconfortante!!!
I like weather changes, but I woke up with a bad headache. Anyways, my husband decided to took a picture of me, saying that I look pretty with or without aches. Is there anything more refreshing!!!

Como vos disse ontem, de facto, o tempo não anda muito famoso!... E para quem disse que ía ser um dos Verões mais quentes... deixa mesmo muito a desejar! Mais parece início de Outono e, por isso mesmo, tempo de nos voltarmos para a casa e nos sentirmos aconchegados! Eu cá aproveitei a tarde para fazer umas fotografias actuais do meu filho e tirar as mais antigas das molduras! E já que estava com a mão na massa, arrumei as prateleiras da estante do quarto dele e reestruturei a decoração! Gostei do resultado final! Adoro este quartinho tão colorido!

As I told you yesterday, the weather isn´t very nice at all!... And I heard it would be a very hot Summer, one of the hottest! Oh my!... It looks to me like the beginning of Autumn and therefore time to feel cosy inside of house!!! What a nice feeling, hey? I took some time last evening to make some nice and latest pictures of my son and remove the oldest from his frames! And actually decided to redecorate his selves from his bedroom! I enjoy doing it and especialyy the final result! I simply love this colorful and cosy bedroom!

Procurei os desenhos mais bonitos de carritos, claro (o meu filho é louco por carros!)e a minha mãe e prima deram uma mãozinha na costura! Voilá! Bem fofas e decorativas! Meninas... mãos à obra e a cabeça também!:)

And also because a have a crasy mom who is even worse than me and helps me a lot :) We decided to use some old fabrics we had around here and also bought some new... Num dos meus passeios pelo centro da cidade, reparei nestes bonitos peixinhos coloridos pintados no dia da criança pelos meninos das várias escolas da zona e por artistas plásticos da Figueira! Achei-os tão giros e uma forma tão original de decorar a cidade que não resisti trazê-los para vocês verem! Viva a criatividade!

When I was walking in the city, I found these beautiful colored fishes painted in child´s day by the children of most of the schools in town and by some palstic artists of Figueira! I thought that they were so pretty and an awesome and original way of decorating the city that I could not resist bringing them to you! :)

Hoje em dia, com as influências cada vez maiores do Oriente (a velha questão da globalização), existe no mercado uma variadíssima gama de bonitos conjuntos que tornam o momento bem mais apetecível e digamos que ritualesca!!! São servidos? :)

There´s no time or season for a good cup of tea! Even in the Summer an iced one feels so good! Today, with a greater Oriental influence (globalization issue), there are many beautiful pieces of art that turns the moment even better or sweeter!!! Are you served? :)

Eu ando simplesmente a dar em doida com estas coisas do artesanato, cores e tradição! Estamos numa altura de retirarmos as coisas do baú! Quem não se lembra das antigas feiras do artesanato aqui na cidade?!!! Mas falo daquelas de antigamente, não é as de agora!... :( Quem não se lembra dos sons mágicos dos índios que encantavam as nossas noites de Verão???? Tenho saudades. Hello there!!! I´m simply going crasy with these handcraft traditional and colourful tytpe of things! We´re in a period of time that we´re allowed to get almost everything out of the closet! Autocolantes! Stickers!

Quem não usou autocolantes na infância? Eu encontrei estes e não fui capaz de abandonar a loja sem os trazer! Adoro as bonequinhas russas que por sinal estão tão na moda e depois aqueles círculos com brilhantes e cheios de cor!!!! Hummmm!!! Tenho de arranjar maneira de os usar!

Who didn´t use stickers in childhood? I found these myself and I couldn´t leave without them! I simply love matryoshkas and they´re so in vogue! And then those shinny and colorful circles!!!! Oh my!!!! I got make use of them! That´s for sure! :)

Verão refrescante/ Freshy Summer

Chegou o Verão! Apesar das estações de ano estarem cada vez mais incertas, este ano já tivémos a oportunidade de sermos presenteados digamos que por um calorzinho tropical! E se sabe bem de vez em quando! :) E quando assim é só nos apetece praia, esplanadas, líquidos, gelados, frutas e saladas! Por isso lembrei-me de vos trazer aqui uma pequena amostra da minha toalha de mesa que, apesar de poder usar durante todo o ano, parece condizer mais com esta estação de ano!

Summer has arrived! Although the weather is so uncertain, this year we already had the chance to have hot weather! And it feels so good sometimes! :) Beach, outdoors, water, icecreams, fruit and salad are on the way! That´s why I remembered I had this tablecloth that I can also use in Winter time but especially in this time of the year!

Olá a todos! Já passaram alguns dias desde a última vez! :) Tenho andado tão ocupada e com tantas ideias que não consigo parar! Também quis aproveitar o fim-de-semana prolongado, com feriados e tudo! Soube bem! :) Hoje trago-vos Fimo novamente :) Na escola do meu filho vão organizar uma quermesse e lembrei-me que poderíamos trabalhar em conjunto para fazer um colar! E assim se passou um bocadinho da tarde de Domingo: com todos a ajudar! Acabei de tirar agorinha do forno! E parece-me bem! :)

Hello everyone! It´s been a few days since last time! :) I´ve been so busy and with so much in my head, especially ideas!!! I also wanted to take these days off to spend them in family, so it was really nice! :) Today I bring you Fimo again :) This week at my son´s school there will be a kermess and I thought it would be fun to bring them a necklace to sell! And that´s what we all made here at home on Sunday´s afeternoon: everybody helping just as I like! :) I took it right now out of the oven and it looks like this, wich for me is pretty fine!!!

Ando numa onda do verde. Não me perguntem porquê! Mas deve ter a ver com o significado da cor. Curiosa como sou, numa pesquisa no google encontrei o seguinte a propósito:" O verde tem uma forte afinidade com a natureza e ajuda-nos a conectar a ela, faz-nos empatizar com os demais encontrando, de uma forma natural, as palavras justas. Tecidos/ Fabrics

Tenho que confessar que adoro ursinhos e desde que o meu filho nasceu a coisa piorou! Como ele também não resiste... Há uns largos meses atrás, numa das visitas à retrosaria mais popular aqui onde resido, vi este tecido e não resisti! Veio de Inglaterra e oferece-nos um montão de possibilidades! Lembrei-me que tinha um conjunto de lençóis lisos verdes e pensei que nada melhor para lhes dar um toque final que uma barrinha aplicada! Depois lembrei-me que, para fazer conjunto, a almofada podia resultar muito bem com o próprio tecido! Et voilá!!!! Depois, como restou algum tecido, decidi aplicar uma barra sobre um toalhão de banho uma vez que a casa de banho dele também é verde!!! Espero que gostem e vos dê algumas ideias, sabe-se lá?

I have to confess that I just love teddy bears and since my son was born I got worse! He also does not resist!... A few months ago in one of my visits to a popular fabrics shop where I live I saw this fabric and I did not resist, so I remembered I had some green straight bed sheets and I decided to cheer them up a bit et voilá!!! Do you like it? Then I kept some more and I applied it over a bath towel since his bathroom is also green! :) I hope uou like it and who knows if it gives some ideas????
